My-TView - working to improve lives
Dafna Avni was inspired to start My-TView to help her grandmother and others like her.
My-TView's story began when Dafna discovered her grandma had stopped watching the content that she used to enjoy so much on television.
Dafna realized that this behavioral change represented a global problem with no solution. As part of the aging process, older people can have cognitive decline and problems with vision and hearing.
To address these issues, Dafna established a company with a group of people who share a common mission of bringing social change. Their dream of giving the elderly the ability to better control their lives and understand their surroundings is the “engine” of the company.
The company's patent-pending technology is poised to revolutionize the world of media and accessibility. My-TView is being designed to enable a better video watching experience for the elderly, with personalization parameters for rhythm, audio and visibility. Through this technology, they hope to improve the lives of millions of older adults and others.
My-TView is one of the innovative startups being followed by Mediterranean Towers Ventures, which invests in early-stage technology companies developing disruptive solutions for aging.
As part of its mission to help extraordinary entrepreneurs change the future of aging, Mediterranean Towers Ventures runs an annual "startup of the year" competition in cooperation with Aging2.0.
