As entrepreneurs and parents, we notice things, and sometimes we even connect the dots.
From what we see, most heroes found in mainstream media seem to be promoting activities and values that are not preparing kids for the real world.
Meanwhile, many of our tech company clients are involved in an ongoing struggle to find employees with the right science, tech, engineering, and math (#STEM) education and experience.
For these companies, even with a great idea, amazing technology, hard work, and the best of intentions, it’s hard as hell to recruit qualified talent, as well as get the attention they deserve.
But, in the world of eCommerce, subscription boxes like Birchbox, Blue Apron, Dollar Shave Club, and Loot Crate are shaking things up with a different way to introduce companies and products to people all over the world.
So, we thought, what would happen if we were to feature tech companies in the same way? With that as our inspiration, we created the world’s first "T-shirt-of-the-month club" featuring promising new tech companies.
Our tech company partners contribute T-shirts, company info, and the CEO’s business card, and we distribute the packages each month to media influencers and our growing network of paid subscribers.
For startups, it’s a new way to get noticed by customers, partners, investors, potential employees, and the media. For tech enthusiasts, #StartupStars is a fun and entertaining way to engage with the world's most promising tech companies.
